Amethyst

Once worth as much as diamonds and worn exclusively by royalty, amethyst is now accessible to everyone while keeping its regal purple beauty. The ancient Greeks believed it prevented hangovers (the name literally means ‘not intoxicated’), and it's long been associated with clarity and calm. At a 7 on the Mohs scale, it's perfect for rings and daily jewelry. Most of our amethysts are completely natural and untreated - what you see is what nature created.

Aquamarine

Named "seawater" by Roman sailors who believed it would protect them on voyages, aquamarine brings that serene, coastal calm to any piece. This beryl family gem ranks 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale, making it durable for engagement rings and everyday wear. Most aquamarines are heat-treated to enhance that dreamy blue color (removing any yellow tones), and the treatment is permanent and universally accepted in the trade and cannot be reversed by sunlight exposure, UV light, or exposure to water. It takes seriously heavy gamma irradiation to make aquamarine fade to yellow.
